OEM Approves Third Automotive Protection Film
Surface Protection
A major OEM has approved another Tecman automotive surface protection film for use on painted plastic interior parts. This is the third product from Tecman’s range of automotive protection films that has been certified for use by this large OEM.
The approval follows a series of successful tests on various painted plastic surfaces, including specific Piano Black paints.
Automotive Surface Protection Film
Painted plastic interior parts are very sensitive to the adhesive systems on protection films. Incorrect selection can lead to witness marks and even adhesive residue. Tecman’s 1320700 Automotive Series Protection Film has been approved for use by a large OEM, offering complete protection against surface damage throughout the vehicle manufacturing process whilst ensuring clean removal without surface damage. The surface requires no polishing or finishing after removal.
The transparent properties of the surface protection film provide aesthetical benefits, particularly important when the protection film is used on interior surfaces requiring removal by the consumer. Due to the films good UV and environmental resistance it is also used over wheels for protecting against brake discs corrosion, particularly during maritime transportation and storage.
