A Major OEM Approves Automotive Protection Film
Tecman has been working in close collaboration with a large OEM and a PU paint manufacturer to develop an automotive interior protection film that can be used on gloss painted plastic.
Typically, piano black and piano white paint systems are vulnerable to protection film as they are easily marked during removal
Tecman's 0250540 - white automotive gloss paint protection film can be applied to painted surfaces shortly after paint application and left in place throughout the manufacturing process, through to removal at the dealerships. This facilitates complete protection against surface damage.
The die-cut protection film components have been designed with a range of specialist features to enable rapid and accurate placement, significantly increasing overall efficiency during the automotive manufacturing process.
Tecman’s Technical Director explains "Ensuring the protection film is easy and accurate to apply is one of the most important aspects to protecting painted parts. The assembly process is usually the highest cost in protecting the surface. This is why we have invested a lot of time in our processes to enable complex die-cut films to be applied easily, quickly and with great accuracy by our customers."
Tecman have over 25 years’ experience in developing advanced self-adhesive solutions that enhance applications. Not subscribing to a one-size-fits-all approach, Tecman’s Application Engineers analyse and consider all aspects of each individual project, focusing on improving overall performance to push efficiency up and costs down.
